FAQs
General
What exactly does Fourwalls do?
We assess your property, then design a plan combining
whichever insulation, heating, and solar/battery measures actually make sense for your
specific home — and manage the funding and installation if you want us to.
Are you installers?
Our assessment and design work is independent. Installation is delivered
through our vetted, certified partner network, project-managed and signed off by our Retrofit
Coordinator — so the person recommending the work isn’t the same person profiting from
installing it.
Which areas do you cover?
[Fill in with your actual launch territory.]
How do I get in touch?
[Phone / email — once live.]
Is Fourwalls right for me?
I’m a landlord - do I need to do anything before 2030?
Yes, if your property is currently below EPC C. The deadline applies to every tenancy, and works can take time to schedule – starting early gives you the most funding options and the least cost pressure.
Do you work with all types of homes?
Yes – including older, solid-wall, and period properties, which often need a different approach than a standard cavity-wall home.
My property is unusual. Can you still help?
This is exactly the kind of property a singletechnology installer struggles with. A whole-property assessment is how we handle it.
The assessment
How does the assessment work?
A qualified assessor visits your property for around an
hour, examining walls, roof, floors, windows, and heating, and (where relevant) produces your
Energy Performance Certificate.
Do I need to be there?
Yes, so we can walk the property with you and answer questions on the spot.
What happens after?
You receive a clear, costed plan – not a sales call. You decide what happens next.
Funding
What funding might I qualify for?
It depends on your property and circumstances – we check every applicable scheme (the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, the Warm Homes Local Grant, lowinterest loan options, and, for landlords, your MEES spending cap) as part of your plan.
Do I have to use your installers?
No – you’re free to take your plan to your own contractor.
Most customers choose to let us manage it, but it’s your plan either way.
